Enable Find My Device Feature in Windows 10

---
Find my device feature has been available on many devices including iOS and Androids targeting only smartphones and tablets. It lets us find the location of our device, if stolen. Until recently, this feature was only limited to smartphones and tablets since they are lost or stolen very easily. Since our laptops are getting thinner and lighter, they too are being lost or misplaced now.

Microsoft in the recent November 2015 update for Windows 10 (version 1511) included this feature in the operating system. Apple already has this feature in it's MacBook. So if you want this feature, make sure you have the latest windows 10 version 1511 installed. We will show you how to enable it step by step.

Note: Make sure your Windows 10 is associated with your Microsoft Account, meaning you use your account to sign in otherwise you won't be able to use this feature.

Step 1: Go to Windows 10 Settings App.

Step 2: Open Update and Security and click Find My Device on the left.

Step 3. You will see that Find My Device feature is off. Click change button and turn the switch on. Now windows will periodically save your device's location with time.

Step 4: To see the location of your device, go to this url: account.microsoft.com/devices

Step 5: Login with your Microsoft account that is set with the device which you are going to find the location of.

Step 6: Choose the device you want to find and it will tell you it's last saved location or you can also know it's current location by pressing Find My Device button. An approximate location will be shown in Bing Map.
