How To Delete, Create or Edit Blogger Post Labels

---
Organizing your blog posts by assigning them specific tags is essential and common practice for bloggers. These tags are called labels in blogger. It gives users the luxury of finding posts relevant to what they are looking for and also helps in designing a better navigation for your site. Wordpress is ahead of blogger in categorizing the posts but blogger is trying to keep up with it day by day.

You can edit, remove or add labels to many posts at a time without individually editing all the posts. Be careful with managing labels in blogger because one wrong label can alter your site's navigation and structure.

Remove a Label

By default if there is no post left assigned to a label, it will automatically be deleted. But if you have a large number of posts with a specific label and you want to remove it from all those posts, then you can do it by following method.

1. In your blogger dashboard go to posts section where your posts are listed.

2. Select only the posts having the label you want to remove.

3. Open labels menu as in the picture below and click that label you want deleted from those posts

Adding a Label

The procedure is almost the same as removing a label. Just select posts which you want to assign a new label. Now open the label menu and click New Label and write your label. It will be applied to all posts you selected.

Editing a Label

If you think you've applied a wrong label to a number of posts or just want to rename that label, then you can simply remove that from posts and assign a new one with the above describe methods. It's simple.
